Samsung Galaxy S3 landing March 30th?

Samsung could lift the lid on the Samsung Galaxy S3 before the month is out, an enigmatic promotional poster suggests.

The notice, which was espied at the Oxford Street branch of Phones 4u by the keen-eyed chaps at Eurodroid, features a hulking Samsung logo, a pair or red curtains waiting to be pulled back for some kind of BIG REVEAL and the strapline ’30.03.12’.

The ad comes as release-date rumours continue to fly for what’s sure to be the year’s most-wanted Android phone, with earlier ‘leaks’ suggesting the Galaxy S3 won’t show its face until much later in the year.

So what to make of the poster? Well, first up you don’t have to be Colombo to notice that no explicit mention is made of the S3. And given that Samsung has previously declared it won’t be dropping its next flagship on us until the second quarter of 2012, we have to say we’re disinclined to believe it’s going to tip up next week.

The smartie was originally expected to debut back in February at Mobile World Congress back in February, after the 2010 and 2011 events were marked by the arrival of the original Galaxy S and the 20 million-selling Galaxy S2.

Features of the phone are anyone’s guess right now. But the smart money is on a 12 megapixel camera, a 4.8-inch screen of the SuperAMOLED Plus variety and an Exynos quad-core processor.
