Vodafone has at last begun shipping pre-ordered 32GB, pebble blue Samsung Galaxy S3 handsets, after initial stock shortages severely hampered availability.
The carrier, which holds exclusive rights to sell the top-end, blue version of the phone in the UK and claims that it has thus far accounted for 40 per cent of orders, confirmed it has posted out the handsets to pre-order customers via its official blog.
Two weeks ago, the network began fulfilling orders for the 16GB blue colourway of the S3, which was also affected by supply shortages caused by problems applying a special hyperglaze to the backpanel of the blue version of the phone.
Dee Kaul, head of devices at Voda UK, said: "The response to the S3 has been fantastic and anyone who's had to wait for their device won't be disappointed when they start to use it.
"We've sold tens of thousands of the S3 already, and there are no signs of that demand waning any time soon."
Earlier this week, Samsung announced it expects to ship some ten million units of the S3 by the end of July, making it the South Korean tech giant’s fastest selling smartphone ever.
