Samsung could announce the Galaxy S4 in Russia, after announcing that it will sponsor the 2014 Olympic Games.
According to Sam Mobile, the tech leviathan could leverage its status as an official Olympics partner by unveiling its latest flagship kit in Moscow where the next Olympics Games will be held.
It’s a sound theory and is backed up by Samsung’s “One Year to Go Countdown” of Sochi 2014, which it said would be followed up by “lots of campaigns” throughout the year, at least one of which we reckon is bound to involve its world-beating mobile efforts.
Sam Mobile claimed this week, citing a “trusted insider”, that the Galaxy S4 will be announced on March 15th and launched in early April.
However, the source said it would land in Eastern European countries first, increasing the chances of the handset being showcased in Russia.
Details are still thin on the ground, but if you put any trust in rumours, the S4 will be home to Samsung’s freshly unwrapped eight-core Exynos processor, a 4.99-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display, a 13-megapixel camera and integrated wireless charging.
