Three has become the latest mobile industry player to start a pre-registration scheme for the Samsung Galaxy S3, ahead of the handset’s official release date of April 26th.
Would-be owners can register their interest with Three now to get email updates about availability of Sammy’s handset, as well as pricing and tariffs.
Three is the second network after EE, which is the sole operator to be selling the phone on 4G contracts, to go live with its pre-registration programme, after the handset’s grand – not to say campy – unveiling yesterday.
Reputedly ‘inspired by humans’, the Galaxy S4 stands out for a slew of customisations to the Android operating system intended to make the phone more intuitive to use, while distinguishing it from rivals with more traditional user interfaces.
Among the standout features is Smart Scroll, which lets users scroll through webpages and documents by tilting the phone up or down. On board eye tracking technology, meanwhile, means owners can also pause videos just by looking away from the display.
Elsewhere, the phone’s spec sheet takes in a 13-megapixel primary camera, a secondary two-megapixel snapper, an eight-core processor and a five-inch AMOLED HD screen.
