Three has officially confirmed it will be on board for the launch of Samsung’s latest addition to the phablet market, the Galaxy Mega.
Billed as the ‘Next Big Thing’ in smartphones – at least by Brendan Arndt of Three (see video below), the Galaxy Mega’s standout specs include a 6.3-inch 720p HD display, a 1.7GHz dual-core processor with 1.5GB of RAM and an eight-megapixel camera with LED flash and HDR support.
Also on board are a 1.9-megapixel front-camera camera and a 3,300mAh battery that’s mega in every sense of the word.
Sadly, Three didn’t reveal a release date for the Mega – not even an ETA as to when it might be available to pre-order. Still, if you place much stock in rumours, the handset is hotly tipped to land sometime in July.
Pricing details are also under wraps at this time, but based on the features on board, we don’t imagine the Mega will cross the £400-£450 mark on pay as you go. On contract, you can probably expect to pick up the handset free from around £30 a month.
We’ll let you know more about the Galaxy Mega’s UK debut in the weeks to come. So hang tight and watch this space.
