Samsung is readying a supercharged version of the Galaxy S4 with even more brawn under the hood, fresh intel suggests, as it looks to sidestep slowing sales of the original model that landed in May.
A user manual for the SHV-E330S, believed to be the recently confirmed LTE-Advanced edition of the S4 has been spotted by Japanese blog RBMen, all-but-officially confirming the inclusion of an MSM8972 chipset, which, in case you’re wondering, is Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 800 system-on-chip.
Aside from dual-speed 4G, the Snapdragon 800 offers blazing fast performance, already shattering the most powerful smartphones out there in numerous prestigious benchmarks.
Samsung is likely to officially announce the LTE-A Galaxy S4 at its media event tonight at London’s Earl’s Court, where it’s also due to showcase the latest addition to the Ativ range.
Qualcomm's chipset is also widely expected to feature on the Galaxy Note 3. Though that’s unlikely to be unveiled until September at the IFA 2013 expo in Berlin.
We’ll be attending Samsung’s event tonight to cover developments as they happen. So keep ‘em peeled.
