Samsung’s recently launched mobile gaming controller, the GamePad, is set to be bundled with the company’s Galaxy Tab 3 8.0. German site All About Samsung has snagged a pic of the two devices in one box, although its unclear exactly when it will be available.
The GamePad, revealed way back in March alongside the Galaxy S4, was finally given the official nod last week. Sammy said it would work with Android kit loaded with Jelly Bean or KitKat and be able to lock onto devices with screens between 4 and 6.3–inches.
That latter point makes it somewhat bizarre that Sammy has chosen to bundle the GamePad with the 8–inch Galaxy Tab 3. But the Korean giant has slung in an HDMI adapter, so it is at leafs possible to play games on the TV via the slate.
The bundle is yet to be slapped with a price tag. However, with the GamePad itself costing €79 on the continent, it’s doubtful this will be an affordable option.
Samsung’s GamePad has arrived at the same time as Logitech and Moga’s new iPhone compatible controllers, opening up a new front in the ongoing battle between Apple and Sammy.
