Yet more photos of Samsung’s first-ever metal phone have leaked online. And this time they show the handset posing next to the iPhone.
The snaps, which come to us courtesy of Sam Mobile, invite comparisons between Samsung’s effort and the handset that epitomises premium build quality for many consumers.
And you’d have to say that, after years of fans complaints that top-end Galaxy phones are too ‘plasticky’ next to the iPhone, the Galaxy Alpha doesn’t look second best by any stretch of the imagination.
In fact, the Alpha looks significantly slimmer than the iPhone 5S, which is some feat given that Apple’s current-generation smartphone comes in at 7.6mm thick.
Sam Mobile has also sourced what looks like a pretty complete spec sheet for Samsung's soon-to-come big hitter.
According to a retailer cited by the fansite, the phone’s key selling points will be a 4.7-inch Super AMOLED display with 1280×720 resolution, Android 4.4 out of the box and a 12-megapixel camera with LED flash.
The 4G-capable handset, which is set to debut later this month, will also pack microUSB support, a 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera and 32GB of storage.
