tip and oh home

Netflix has commissioned an animated series based on the 2015 DreamWorks Animation film 'Home'.

Called 'Home: Adventures with Tip & Oh', it will come to the streaming service this summer, under Netflix's multiyear pact with DWA.

Pop star Rachel Crow will voice the character of Tip, while Mark Whitten ('Rolling High') will play Oh. This marks a change from the film, in which Tip was voiced by Rihanna, and Oh by Jim Parsons (Sheldon from 'The Big Bang Theory').

The series picks up where the film left off, with fearless Tip letting the overly enthusiastic alien Oh move in with her and her family.

The cast also includes Cheri Oteri ('Liar Liar'), Abby Elliot ('Saturday Night Live"), Jon Heder ('Napoleon Dynamite') and Wayne Knight ('Seinfeld').

The first episode will be available on July 29th. There's no word how many episodes the series will consist of.
