amazon fire tv stick

Today is Prime Day over on, and here's a rather tasty deal to get you started. Today only, Amazon's Fire TV Stick costs just £19.99. That's £15 cheaper than its usual asking price of £34.99.

That's a saving of 43 per cent. And it was already one of the most affordable streaming devices around.

The Fire TV Stick plugs into your TV's HDMI socket and connects to your home Wi-Fi. It then streams content over the internet using a series of apps – Amazon Prime Video, Netflix, BBC iPlayer, All 4, Sky News, My5, etc.

It's basically the same as Google's Chromecast device. Its functionality is almost exactly the same as the Amazon Fire TV, but it's smaller and more discreet.

The device has 8GB of storage, which will hold hundreds of hours of TV shows and films, and its dual-core processor will keep it running smoothly.

It's also handy for gamers, with a host of titles available to download and play on your TV.

The £19.99 price is for the device with the standard remote control. Pay a tenner extra, and you'll get the voice remote, which lets you speak to control it. If you don't want to spend the extra, just download the free Fire TV Remote App on your Android or iOS device and speak into your phone.
