bush digital tv recorder

If you'd like to watch TV shows and films on the move, but don't want to shell out for a subscription to Sky or Netflix, Bush might have the answer. It's just launched its Digital TV Recorder box, which records shows and films and stores them in the cloud. They're then ready to be streamed to your mobile, tablet or laptop.

It sits under your telly like a regular set-top box, and can store up to 350 hours of TV in the ShowDrive cloud service. That means you can watch shows back on your TV as if they were stored on the box itself, or on a connected device on the go.

The downside? You will need a data connection, so no watching in remote areas. Though ShowDrive automatically compresses and optimises the data stream, so you shouldn't need too nippy a connection in order to watch.

You can also start watching on your TV and carry on using a mobile device, and your show will pick up where you left off.

The box will go on sale exclusively at Argos from August 30th. It costs £99, though you will need a ShowDrive subscription too – this starts at £1.99 a month for up to 35 hours of cloud storage, or £5.99 a month for 350 hours. You can cancel or change your subscription at any time. New customers get a month's free trial, too.
