'The Crown' is one of the most highly anticipated TV series of recent years – the Netflix show is said to be the most expensive series ever made. And now we have a featurette telling us more about it.
Called 'The Weight of the Crown', the featurette helps set the scene for the series. It features stars like Claire Foy (who plays Elizabeth II) and the show's creator Peter Morgan (who previously wrote the film 'The Queen') as talking heads, discussing the background to the show.
"It's not just the story of a family, but the story of postwar Britain," says Stephen Daldry, the show's director.
The show focusses on Queen Elizabeth II as a 25-year-old newlywed, faced with leading the world's most famous monarchy while forming a relationship with prime minister Winston Churchill (played by John Lithgow).
It also stars Matt Smith as Prince Philip, Victoria Hamilton as the Queen Mother and Jared Harris as King George VI.
It starts on Netflix on November 4th.
