Live cricket, an insider's look at prison life, and Jude Law's reign as Pope continues.
'Live Test Cricket'
3:30-6am, Sky Sports 2 Live coverage of day three of the First Test between India and England. The action comes from the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot, in the India state of Gujarat – the first time the stadium has hosted a Test match. And don't worry if you can't stay up to watch it live, the action is repeated throughout the day on Sky Sports 2.
'The Secret Life of Prisons: Cutting Edge'
9pm, Channel 4 This documentary lifts the lid on what really goes on inside Britain's prisons. The footage was all recorded secretly by inmates using smuggled-in mobiles, so it's a proper warts-and-all look. We see inmates placing orders for the drug spice, and the ingenious ways in which it is smuggled into the prison (flown in by drone, hidden in trainers, and even sprayed onto a child's drawing). Sobering stuff.
'The Young Pope'
9pm, Sky Atlantic By episode three, new Pope Lenny (played with relish by Jude Law) is fighting off opposition from within the Vatican. Cardinal Voiello (Silvio Orlando) tries to blackmail him into leaving, but just one speech of Lenny's has immeasurable power. It's offbeat and darkly comic, and also stars screen legend Diane Keaton.
