Virgin Media is to allow mobile phone dealers to market its broadband services, according to new reports.
Dealers - with Carphone Warehosue and Phones4U mentioned - will be able to sell subsidised laptops with Virgin Media cable broadband contracts.
It is thought that as well as the deals appearing attractive to customers, dealers will also be tempted by the potential for commission.
Virgin Media sales director Rob Shardlow told Mobile News International: "We are looking at opportunities for the dealer channel to sell our cable broadband services.
"Dealers cannot have failed to notice what Carphone Warehouse and Phones 4U are doing on the high street."
He added: "Now we have something the dealer channel will be able to get behind."
Meanwhile, Virgin is rumoured to be considering selling off its Telewest business communications arm in order to concentrate on cable and broadband customers.
