Be Broadband has become the latest provider to unveil a free broadband promotion, as competition for market share among the UK's telecoms firms reaches a new pitch.
Over the last week, limited-period incentives which feature free broadband for the introductory period of their contract terms have been unveiled by a host of providers. These include Virgin Media, BT, O2 and TalkTalk – all of which have unveiled attractive money-off deals can only be secured when subscribers sign up online.
Today, Be has launched a similarly attractive promotion. Under the terms of its deal, all customers who sign up for its broadband packages benefit from a two-month period during which time they pay nothing for their broadband.
This gives a saving of £36 for those who opt for the Unlimited package and £43 for customers who choose the Pro offering. Both packages have been devised with heavy users in mind and feature a fast broadband connection of up to 24Mb, unlimited monthly usage and a free wireless router.
Meanwhile, savings on the entry-level Value deal stand at £27. This boasts a connection of up to 8Mb and also features unlimited monthly usage and a wireless router free of charge.
To take advantage of the discounted Be’s deals, customers must first visit Top 10 Broadband’s dedicated Be page where they can compare the terms of the company’s packages. Once consumers have found they deal that most closely meets their needs they must complete purchase of a package and enter the special promotional code 2monthsfree.
Be is also currently running a separate promotion aimed at students heading to college over the next month. For a limited period, takers who choose the Be Unlimited for Students deal get three months free broadband.
Jessica McArdle, marketing manager at the broadband comparison site, said: " Be's two- months free incentive comes at a time when ISPs are at loggerheads to pick up new customers and discounted offers abound.
"With the opportunity to save a huge £43 on charges, there couldn't be a better time to buy Be broadband."
