Mobile broadband news

A half price dongle offer from O2 has been extended, the internet service provider (ISP) has revealed.

The operator's half price offer on its E160 mobile broadband dongle was due to end yesterday (August 3rd).

However, O2 has extended the special deal so that it will now finish on Thursday morning at 8.30am.

As such, customers still have plenty of time to take advantage of the discounted £14.67 price.

Originally launched in July, the offer does not mean that customers who purchase a Pay & Go USB modem device from the ISP have to sign up for long term contracts, as daily access of 500Mb can be purchased for just £2.

Alternatively, 1Gb over a week is available for £7.50, while £15 will pay for 3Gb over seven days.

When used in BT's wireless hotspot zones, the dongles give laptop users unlimited broadband access.
