According to an official statement from the mobile phone and broadband provider, the package covers both on-air and off-air facets of the talent contest and will include broadcasts on ITV1 and ITV2, as well as sponsorship of the BAFTA nominated X Factor website.


Coming just months after TalkTalk completed the takeover of Tiscali, the agreement with one of the few TV shows now in existence capable of delivering water cooler moments sets out in no uncertain terms the sheer scale of the company’s new-found ambition. And coupled with the new approach to customer service the broadband supplier is pioneering and its showy new campaign, 2009 is looking more and more like TalkTalk’s year.
