Sky has been named as the Best Overall Provider in the 2010 Home Phone Customer Satisfaction Report from uSwitch.

The UK internet service provider achieved the top satisfaction rate of any broadband deals vendor at 86 per cent.

Sky fought off strong competition from TalkTalk (82 per cent satisfaction) to claim the title of best broadband provider for the third year in succession.

The firm also emerged as the joint winner, alongside Virgin Media, in the awards' Best Customer Service category.

Commenting on the outcome of the survey, Steve Weller, Communications Expert at, said Sky's hat-trick at the top "demonstrates its clear commitment to offering a consistently high service across all areas".

Earlier this week, Sky announced plans to showcase content from its pay TV channel through its Sky 3 service this weekend, which is available to Freeview and Virgin Media viewers.
