Broadband provider Virgin Media will have its mobile internet dongles supplied by Alcatel as part of a major new deal.
The two companies have signed a one-year agreement set to run until next summer which will make Alcatel the exclusive provider of modems for the internet firm.
As part of the deal, Alcatel will supply its X080 and X220 devices to the broadband provider.
Jonathan Kini, Director of Mobile at Virgin Media, said the systems were "a great fit" with its internet offers.
He added: "We are delighted to be working with Alcatel for these launches, which will bring our customers the best possible options for speed and flexibility for broadband on the go."
Virgin Media recently also confirmed that it has appointed Doreen Toben as an independent non-executive director.
Regarded as one of the most prominent women in US business, Ms Toben has previously worked for Verizon, Bell Atlantic and The New York Times Co.
