Three news

Internet service provider 3 has launched a new offer which enables dongle users to peer behind The Times' new online paywall.

From this week, consumers logging on to mobile broadband with 3 will be able to keep up to date with current affairs on thetimes.co.uk and thesundaytimes.co.uk – sites which now feature subscription news content.

Consumers accessing the web via a laptop or tablet device can take advantage of three months free access to the news provider's paid-for daily content.

Following the initial three month offer, pay-as-you-go customers who top up every 30 days will continue to get free access to The Times and The Sunday Times for the following month.

3's Head of Customer Propositions for Mobile Broadband Alys Mathew commented: "As more people consume news online, a partnership with The Times is a perfect offer for our mobile broadband customers.

"[Our] network has over 97 per cent population coverage for 3G services, so we're happy to expand the reach of The Times online readership across the country to more mobile devices."

The news subscription offer is available to new customers until March 31st 2011.
