Be Broadband is set to double the download speeds available to its customers through the launch of new line bonding technology.
The internet service provider (ISP) said the service will be capable of allowing up to 44Mb downloads and up to 5Mb uploads.
Be has developed the new service in response to ongoing demand for higher speeds.
Alex Gowar, Head of Marketing for Be Broadband, said that as only half of the UK population has access to fibre currently, the line bonding product is "a real viable alternative".
"But line bonding is not only great for Be customers who want fibre speeds, but it could also be life changing for the millions of UK customers who suffer slower speeds because they live a long way from the exchange," he stated.
"It's all part of our 'Real World Speed' proposition and our desire to help customers achieve the fastest speeds possible that their line can handle."
Monthly rental for the line bonding service is priced at £65, with set-up costing £85 and a wireless broadband router included for free. Customers will also need two phone lines coming into their building from the same exchange.
Back in September, Be Broadband launched home phone services to complement its existing range of broadband deals.
