O2 news

Consumers looking to get their hands on a new O2 dongle in time for Christmas morning face disappointment if they do not register today.

The internet service provider has imposed a deadline for new orders, in order for delivery to be possible before the festive weekend.

As a result, anyone subscribing for O2's mobile broadband services after today is unlikely to see their new USB Modem until after the bank holiday.

And where dongles are designed to go with new laptops, this could potentially take some of the gloss off the big day for gift recipients.

Consumers have a range of mobile broadband options with O2, including contracted terms and a pay monthly option.

A 30-day rolling contract, with unlimited web access at Wi-Fi hotspots, is currently available from just £5 per month.

Pay monthly customers can get three months free when taking out an 18-month 1GB contract, priced at just £10 per month.
