Virgin Media news

Internet service provider (ISP) Virgin Media is set to make a host of top film and TV content available to its video on-demand TV subscribers.

The firm is offering a Christmas boost to its broadband bundle customers, uploading "must-see series, movies, music and kids shows" onto the platform.

During December, TV Choice on Demand options will include the entire first seasons of 30 Rock, Heroes, House, The Office US and Lipstick Jungle.

HD and 3D movie blockbusters will also be available, including Inception third instalment of The Twilight Saga, Eclipse – both of which will become available on the same day as their DVD release.

Aleks Habdank, Director of On-Demand Television and Strategy at Virgin Media, said Christmas is "a great time of year" for TV on-demand, making it easy to enjoy the festivities without the worry of missing out on great festive TV.

"With so much content available at the touch of a butting, there's never been a better time to get all the family and friends together," he stated.

"And with a stunning line-up of HD and 3D movies on demand to complement the great Christmas TV schedule, there'll always be something for everyone."

Last month, the ISP signed an agreement to provide Channel Five content via its on-demand platform.
