Mobile broadband provider Vodafone has reduced the purchase price of its 3GB USB Modem, in a move which may attract new customers.

The initial cost of the pay-as-you-go dongle has been cut from £25 to £19.99, allowing consumers to reduce the cost of getting started with mobile broadband.

All users need to do to access the web on the go is top up their dongle each month – with the first 30 days provided by the internet service provider for free.

A £15 top up provides 3GB of data, which customers can then use for the next 30 days to browse online and carry out other web-based activities.

The dongle provides download speeds of up to 3.6Mb, meaning some mobile broadband customers will be accessing a faster connection than many home internet users across the UK.

Vodafone describes the broadband offer as "a cracking deal", owing to the low purchase price and high-quality performance offered.
