People using satellite broadband

Avanti Communications has signed up two new customers to its HYLAS 1 satellite broadband service.

Cumbria-based Krypton TV and Simply Balanced Services in Scotland have purchased Avanti's entry-level Shared Virtual Network Operator product.

Consequently, the two companies will soon be able to resell satellite broadband services to their own customer bases.

David Williams, Chief Executive at Avanti, said he was pleased to welcome the new service providers to the firm's system.

"I hope that the HYLAS 1 services they have bought will help them grow their businesses as well as deliver broadband solutions to the unserved populations in Scotland and England," he stated.

"Customers continue to choose Avanti because our product is competitive and our approach is flexible."

Meanwhile, two Spanish companies - Inland Computer Services and Banda Ampla - have also signed contracts to resell Avanti's satellite broadband services.
