Virgin Media news

Broadband provider Virgin Media Business has been honoured at the Internet Telephony Services Providers' Association's (ITSPA) 2011 Awards.

The firm was named the winner in the Best Business ITSP (Large Enterprise) category, beating off strong competition from Timico, which received a commendation.

Meanwhile, Vodafone-owned iNet Telecoms emerged triumphant in the small enterprise category.

Eli Katz, ITSPA Chairman, congratulated the winners and finalists in the various categories, which also included Best Consumer VoIP and Best VoIP Infrastructure.

"It has been another competitive awards nomination process, incorporating more entrants from across industry," he stated.

"The ITSPA Council is keen to build on this success and welcome all entrants, both members and non-members to participate in the work of the trade association going forward."

Virgin Media is in the process of rolling out 100Mb fibre broadband services across its cabled areas of the UK.
