Internet service provider Avanti UK has already migrated 5,000 of its broadband deal subscribers to its new 10Mb-capable HYLAS 1 satellite broadband service and is expected to move a further 20,000 customers in the next few weeks.

The HYLAS 1 orbiter is Avanti UK's flagship rural broadband solution and for £60 per month, subscribers can enjoy download speeds of 8Mb, upload speeds of 2Mb and a 10GB usage allowance.

Earlier this month, Avanti UK launched an extensive broadband bundle list aimed at remote, rural customers in need of high-speed internet access.

The various broadband deals range in price from the £12 per month (excluding VAT) Consumer 500 package, which offers download speeds of 0.5Mb and upload speeds of 0.12Mb all the way up to the Pro 8000 package, which offers 8Mb downloads, 2.5Mb uploads, a 25GB usage allowance and costs £199 per month (excluding VAT).

The Avanti UK service will be officially launched tomorrow (April 20th), but broadband deal pre-orders are already being taken.
