Plusnet news

Yorkshire-based broadband provider Plusnet is set to relocate its operations to "grade-A" office space in the heart of Sheffield.

The firm has secured 53,000 square feet of office space on Pinfold Street in the city centre, and will move to the new premises in spring 2012.

At present Plusnet operates from two sites in the inner city - at Tenter Street and Victoria Quays, reports ISPreview.co.uk.

Jamie Ford, Chief Executive of Plusnet, claimed it was "an incredibly exciting time" for the business and the move signals another milestone in the firm's "amazing" story.

"With such rapid expansion over the last two years this move will enable all business operations including our customer services, to remain together under one roof," he stated.

"This is something incredibly unique for a telecoms provider in the UK. At the same time, the move gives us the space to necessitate further expansion as we continue to grow at pace."

Founded in 1997, Plusnet currently employs around 700 employees in the UK.
