The Osborne family - from Channel 4 soap opera 'Hollyoaks' - are among the new converts to TalkTalk's YouView service.

In a new short clip, Jack, Frankie and co are shown fighting over the choice of programme on their recently-installed IPTV platform.

Mark Schmid, Communications Director at TalkTalk, said his firm was delighted to see the popular soap family having their lives enriched by "extraordinary TV".

"We love hearing about how people are enjoying this new way to view television," he stated.

Mr Schmid said consumers should "look out for contributions from other famous families soon" as more people sign up for YouView IPTV.

He explained that TalkTalk BrightSparks engineers are busy setting up YouView boxes around the country, and up to a thousand households every day are activating their account.

This means they are gaining access to a range of Freeview and on-demand TV content via their home broadband connection.
