Sky broadband, home phone and TV subscribers now have the opportunity to watch the first run of Elementary on-demand.

The US crime series, which moves Sherlock Holmes to modern-day America and features a female Dr Watson, is now available in full on the Sky+ service.

Viewers can tune into all 15 episodes so far from season one before the acclaimed series returns to Sky Living HD on Tuesday 26th February.

Broadcaster CBS has commissioned additional episodes of the drama after it received positive ratings and reviews.

Elementary stars British actor Jonny Lee Miller as Sherlock Holmes, a former Scotland Yard consultant who now lives in New York City after receiving drug rehabilitation.

Lucy Liu plays surgeon Dr Joan Watson, the detective's 'sober companion', who offers support and advice to Holmes as he conducts his investigations.

The show also features Aidan Quinn as Captain Thomas Gregson of the New York City Police Department and Jon Michael Hill as Detective Marcus Bell.
