Virgin Media news

Virgin Media is now offering nine months' half-price service on its broadband, TV and home phone packages.

A number of the firm's broadband bundles are included in the offer, including the Virgin Media Essential Collection and the Virgin Media Premiere Collection.

With the Essential package, consumers are able to download at speeds of up to 30Mb and take advantage of an unlimited monthly usage allowance.

Subscribers receive a free installation worth £49.95 and also a free wireless broadband router.

They have around 100 TV channels to choose from - six of which are in HD - and receive a free 500GB TiVo box as part of the deal.

Unlimited weekend calls to UK landlines are also included, as well as calls to Virgin Mobile customers.

Customers pay just £13 per month for the first nine months of their 18-month contract, rising to £26 per month after the introductory offer period.

They are also subject to a monthly line rental fee of £14.99 from the start of their contract.

Households seeking faster broadband and a wider range of TV channels have the option of signing up for the Virgin Media Premiere Collection.

Subscribers have access to up to 60Mb download speeds, an unlimited monthly usage allowance, and weekend calls to UK landlines and Virgin Mobile numbers.

They also receive a free Super Hub wireless broadband router and free installation, helping to keep start-up costs to a minimum.

The Premiere Collection includes a 500GB TiVo box, a second box for another room, Virgin TV Anywhere, and more than 200 channels - 32 of which are in HD.

Customers pay just £24 per month for the first nine months of their 18-month contract, rising to £48 per month. Line rental also applies.

Virgin Media is running the nine months' half-price offer on its Collections until May 28th, meaning consumers still have six days to take advantage of the offer.
