Companies do not need to take out line rental services to sign up for one of Plusnet's revamped business broadband deals.

UK enterprises looking to take advantage of the service provider's six month half-price offer can remain with their existing landline provider if they prefer.

Pre-exisiting line rental contracts have no bearing on companies' ability to receive a discount on business broadband from Plusnet.

The half-price broadband deals - which launched earlier this week - enable companies to access ADSL broadband from £5 per month, or super-fast fibre services from £12 per month.

Nick Silverwood, Head of Business at Plusnet, claimed the broadband packages are "perfect" for small businesses.

"We are delighted to be able to offer six months' half price broadband," he stated.

"We pride ourselves in offering great-value business broadband and it is even more important when so many small and medium-sized enterprises will be looking to make cost savings at this time of the year."
