Virgin Media has issued a reminder to consumers that its top broadband speeds are increasing in February 2014.

The broadband provider posted a message on Twitter, urging users to pre-register for its soon-to-arrive up to 152Mb service.

Virgin Media said broadband customers can "go like the clappers" with ultra-fast download speeds, which represent an improvement on the up to 120Mb service available at present.

Customers who currently subscribe to an up to 120Mb broadband deal will receive a free upgrade, allowing them to take advantage of the fastest speeds available.

Those who are on a lower tariff should also benefit from a 20Mb broadband speed boost.

According to Virgin Media, all households with access to its UK network will be able to sign up for 152Mb broadband within the next 12 months.

Consumers are urged to use the postcode checker on the Virgin Media website to find out when super-fast speeds are arriving in this area.

"We’re committed to making sure your broadband stays one step ahead of whatever you need it for," the service provider stated.
