BT has sweetened its broadband double-play and triple play bundles with free Sainsbury’s Gift Cards, as it bids to make good on its growing market share after the success of BT Sport.

From today, customers who sign up online for packages that include BT’s superfast Infinity fibre broadband and home phone bundles, as well as those that also include TV, qualify for a free £100 Gift Card.

Subscribers who choose a bundle that includes standard ADSL broadband and home phone, once again with the option of adding TV, will get a £50 Gift Card.

The free-voucher offer ends March 11th and only customers who are new to BT are eligible.

Perhaps the pick of BT’s revamped packages is the Unlimited Broadband and Calls product at £8 per month over 18 months, plus monthly landline rental at £15.49.

As well as the £50 Sainsbury’s Gift Card, this includes half-price ‘up to 16Mbps’ broadband for six months and free evening and weekend calls. Free installation worth £30 is also part of the deal, as is BT Sport online.

At the other end of BT’s product range, there’s the Infinity Unlimited Broadband, Calls & TV Entertainment bundle at £27 per month and line rental, which includes the higher value £100 Gift Card.

This gets you super-fast ‘up to 76Mbps’ cable broadband, free weekend calls and a free YouView set top box (worth £299) with 18 extra channels and BT Sport on your TV.

BT recently updated its set top box, with the arrival of the second-generation YouView+.

Smaller than the first edition, it also features easier navigation of its electronic program guide, alongside the option to record two channels while watching live TV and access to catch-up and on-demand TV services.
