EE remains the top UK mobile broadband provider, RootMetrics has determined.
The research firm carried out more than 920,000 mobile network tests across the UK, in a bid to establish which of the four leading operators - EE, O2, Vodafone and Three - is the best performer.
In the latest UK RootScore Report, EE was named number one for overall network performance, network speed, mobile internet performance, call performance and text performance.
EE also tied in first place with Three for network reliability.
Olaf Swantee, Chief Executive at EE, said the results of the study show that EE is providing "the best mobile experience" to businesses and consumers across the UK.
"We continue to invest to ensure that customers here have access to a world-leading network, setting new standards for performance and reliability," he stated.
"We welcome the most rigorous independent testing of mobile networks, and it’s great to see ongoing investment is improving quality and coverage for people, no matter where they are in the country."
EE's 4G mobile broadband network currently covers 73 per cent of the UK population.
Super-fast services from the broadband provider are available in 250 towns and cities and more than 2,500 villages nationwide.
