Sky is giving consumers the chance to win tickets to the 2014 Ryder Cup, which gets underway at Gleneagles next Friday (September 26th).

The top European and US golfers will lock horns in this biyearly matchplay contest, considered by many to be the showpiece event in the sport.

Sky Sports viewers will be able to watch all the action live from Perthshire, but there's still a chance you could be there in person by winning the latest Sky competition.

To enter the draw for free tickets, all you need to do is visit the Sky Twitter page and retweet the following message:

'Love #golf? RT this for the chance to #win tickets to the #RyderCup thanks to #SkyGo'.

However, there isn't long left to enter - the draw closes at 11:59am on Wednesday September 17th.

One lucky winner will claim a pair of tickets to the 2014 Ryder Cup on Friday September 26th, plus accommodation and train travel from their nearest railway station.

This year's staging is the 40th Ryder Cup - the event was first held in 1927 - but it is only the second time it has come to Scotland.

Paul McGinley captains the European team in 2014, with Tom Watson taking charge of the US competitors.
