Virgin Media subscribers can now access a wider range of TV channels over the internet.

The service provider has added another 15 live channels to its mobile TV service Virgin TV Anywhere, bringing the total number to 107.

Al Jazeera (Arabic), Al Jazeera (English), ARY News, B4U Music, E!, Forces TV, France 24 (English), France 24 (French) and Ginx have launched on the online platform.

Virgin TV Anywhere users can also watch programming on Lahme, NDTV 24*7, NHK World HD, The Africa Channel, TV5 and Zing.

Another two entertainment channels will join the service next month.

Scott Kewley, Virgin Media’s Director of Digital Entertainment, said the new channels will enable customers to keep up with the news from around the world, ramp up the suspense with an exciting drama, or listen to the latest music on the go.

"Their arrival means we’ve more than doubled the amount of channels available on the go to our TV customers since the service launched two years ago," he stated.

Mr Kewley claimed that Virgin Media is "further extending its lead as the provider of the most comprehensive entertainment-anywhere service in the UK"
