Broadband provider Plusnet has triumphed in three categories at the inaugural Moneywise Home Finances Awards.

The Sheffield-based operator claimed the Most Recommended Broadband, Best Broadband for Service and Best Broadband for Value for Money awards, as voted for by members of the public.

More than 5,500 Moneywise readers took part in a survey to determine the winners in the various award categories.

Andy Baker, Chief Executive at Plusnet, commented: "We believe our customers are entitled to both great value and customer service, without compromise, so it is truly encouraging to have won these awards through a public vote.

"We continue to invest in both our product offering and customer service; we are recruiting more service advisors to our team on a daily basis and will be launching new products next year."

Mr Baker said Plusnet was "really happy" to receive the 'most recommended' broadband provider title. He said this is fitting because the firm has reached a "significant milestone" in 2014 with its My Referrals scheme.

Mr Baker explained that the company has returned over £6 million to customers who have recommended its broadband services to family and friends.

"We’re really happy at winning these awards and we hope that we can continue to grow and offer great deals to customers," he added.
