Fast-growing broadband provider Plusnet is to create another 200 customer service jobs in Yorkshire, it has been revealed.
The Sheffield-based broadband provider is to take on additional staff at its Leeds call centre as it responds to increased demand for Plusnet broadband deals.
Andy Baker, Chief Executive at the broadband provider, said there is room for growth in the building, which is currently occupied by 250 employees.
"We’ve got room to grow for another 200 people. We will grow into that space within the next 18 months," he told the Yorkshire Evening Post.
"Plusnet has trebled in size over the last five years. We will continue to stay on that growth curve. That growth curve means we will create more jobs."
As well as the Leeds-based staff, Plusnet employs around 850 people at its city-centre headquarters in Sheffield.
Mr Baker suggested that his firm's location is to its advantage, when it comes to meeting customers' needs.
"We think the thing we do better is fuse together price and service. Service is really important to us," he stated.
"There’s something about the Yorkshire personality that gives fabulous service.”
