Virgin Media has announced it has cut the price of its broadband and calls bundle to £4 a month, although customers will need to act fast.

The deal, which could save customers as much as £108, offers 50Mbps fibre broadband, unlimited weekend calls to landlines and Virgin Mobile numbers, as well as a free Super Hub wireless router and QuickStart install worth £49.95.

The promotional price of £4 a month is only available until tomorrow (July 21st) and will last eight months before rising to £17.50. Subscribers will also be charged line rental of £16.99 a month.

While the offer may suit the needs of many users, those looking for even greater broadband speeds can sign up to Virgin's 100Mbps broadband and phone bundle for £9 a month for eight months (£22.50 thereafter).

Virgin claims this is nine times faster than the average ADSL broadband connection.
