BT Sport has announced it is to show Manchester United's crunch second leg UEFA Champions League play off against Belgium's Club Brugge this Wednesday (August 26th) free of charge.
Coverage starts on BT Sport Showcase, channel 59, at 7pm, with Louis van Gaal's side travelling to the Jan Breydel Stadium in Bruges, hoping to build on the 3-1 lead from the first game at Old Trafford.
Coverage will be spearheaded by Gary Lineker, while analysis will be provided by former Manchester United legends Paul Scholes and Rio Ferdinand.
Simon Green, Head of BT Sport, said: “We are delighted to offer this finely poised second leg match as the first live match that will be freely available on BT Sport Showcase.
"It will give Freeview viewers the opportunity to enjoy a great live European tie and take a look at the new BT Sport Champions League coverage, if they are not already subscribers.”
The move is is intended to showcase BT's European sporting line up, after the broadcaster became the only place to watch 351 live UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League matches this season.
At least 12 of those games will be shown free on BT Sport Showcase, along with 14 UEFA Europa League ties.
