Fuel Broadband's owner New Call Telecom claims it is now the fastest-growing telecoms provider in the UK, after ranking in the Sunday Times Hiscox Tech Track 100 list.

New Call was placed 53rd in the list published this week, making it the highest ranked residential broadband and telecoms services company.

It follows a period of expansion that has seen the company acquire UK-based voice wholesaler WaveCrest, Indian mobile technology firm Nimbuzz, and another Indian company, Wi-Fi provider Ozone Networks.

However, the company's key UK operation remains Fuel Broadband, and this has contributed to its ranking on the list, which gauges companies with the fastest-growing sales over the last three years.

New Call CEO Nigel Eastwood, who was recently named in the top 100 most influential telecoms thought leaders in the world by Onalytica, said he was "delighted and very proud" to be named in the Tech Track 100.

"We believe that people in the UK and the emerging world want services that are created for the way they lead their lives today," he commented.

"Unlike other companies, we don’t bundle packages together, trying to sell people things they don’t want; we offer real choice and flexibility."
