Sky has launched what it claims is the cheapest fibre broadband and landline rental package available in the UK.
Sky Fibre costs £20 a month including line rental (down from £27.40), along with a discounted one-off set-up fee of £19.95.
This is an exclusive deal for both new and existing Sky TV customers, as well as TV customers with Sky Broadband when they subscribe for 18 months.
Sky Fibre boasts a 25GB monthly usage allowance and average download speeds of 34Mbps.
The launch of the package comes as Sky announces that from hereon in it will advertise broadband with average speeds received by customers. In keeping with Ofcom regulations, it has previously advertised speeds if they are available to ten per cent of their customers.
The provider has also announced the launch of its new Sky Broadband Tech Team, which it's touting as offering "industry-leading customer service at a great price".
A dedicated team of experts will be equipped with bespoke tools and branded uniforms, and will aim to deliver a "better, personalised customer experience" both over the phone and in people's homes.
Sky believes the launch of the new Broadband Tech Team will build on the company's "leading customer service, as rated Number 1 by Ofcom for the last two years".
Lyssa McGowan, Director of Communication Products at Sky, commented: "Faster and more reliable internet is becoming ever more important for our TV customers.
"That's why we are offering Sky Fibre at such a brilliant price, exclusively for our Sky TV customers, alongside launching our new, dedicated Broadband Tech Team, so they get the best service in town."
