BT's mobile app that enables customers to manage their account from their smartphone has been updated with new features.
The latest iteration of My BT lets users download their bills as PDFs as well as viewing and paying them. In addition, it features a usage tracker for all BT products, including broadband, landline phone, TV and mobile.
This means broadband customers who have a data cap can check their remaining allowance and adjust their usage accordingly, while TV customers can track what rentals they have paid for and BT Mobile customers can monitor their data use.
Landline customers can see a detailed breakdown of calls they have made, including any that are excluded from their calling plan.
The award-winning app - it was given a Silver Award in the Best App category at the UK Digital Experience Awards 2015 - retains all the features that have made it popular with BT's customers, including order tracking and customer support.
It can be used to check and amend the time of an engineer's appointment, or keep an eye on the live date if a new product or service has been ordered.
Broadband customers experiencing connectivity issues can also restart their BT Home Hub router remotely, providing the customer's smartphone is connected to Wi-Fi.
The app is available for iPhone and Android smartphones, and customers with a compatible iPhone can set up Touch ID so they can log in to their account using their fingerprint.
