Virgin Media is set to introduce a low-cost 50Mbps broadband service that offers unlimited usage.
The provider has recently been offering ultrafast speeds of 100Mbps or more as its entry-level speed.
However, Virgin Media also appears to have an eye on the budget broadband market, although no official announcement on this has yet been made.
Nevertheless, ISPreview.co.uk understands that the 50Mbps package will cost in the region of £26 per month, or £29 per month with a phone line included.
The website also reports that this low-cost broadband option will not be able to taken with Virgin Media's TV service.
Speaking to ISPreview.co.uk, a Virgin Media spokesperson said: "We’re always looking at new ways we can give our customers an amazing service and often review our products and bundles. We’ll have some more news for you soon."
