Premier League October 2016

BT Sport has announced its line-up of live football fixtures for the first two months of the 2017-18 season, confirming that fans will be able to see all of the top Premier League title contenders in action.

The broadcaster will be showing the season's traditional curtain-raiser, the FA Community Shield, between Arsenal and Chelsea on Sunday August 6th.

Less than a week later, the late kick-off on Saturday August 12th will see one of the Premier League's newly promoted sides, Brighton & Hove Albion, welcome title hopefuls Manchester City to the Falmer Stadium.

Sandwiched between those two games will be a clash between two of European football's heavyweights, with Manchester United facing Real Madrid in the UEFA Super Cup on the evening of Tuesday August 8th.

Arguably the biggest highlight of BT Sport's confirmed league fixtures is a meeting between two sides that will have their eye on the Premier League title next season. Reigning champions Chelsea will host Manchester City at Stamford Bridge in the late kick-off on Saturday September 30th.

Simon Green, Head of BT Sport, said: "BT Sport will continue being the home of live Saturday evening Premier League football next season. We offer football fans a superb Saturday football experience, beginning with the innovative afternoon show BT Sport Score and ending with Premier League Tonight at 8pm."
