BT Complete Wifi

BT has unveiled a new Wi-Fi service that aims to offers its broadband customers a faster, more reliable wireless connection in every part of their home.

The Complete Wi-Fi offering uses unique Wi-Fi discs that pair with the company's new Smart Hub 2 router to create a single, powerful connection that should reach from wall to wall in any user's home.

As well as allowing consumers a guaranteed connection wherever they are, BT claims that a single disc could help a typical four-bedroom home increase its Wi-Fi speeds by as much as 25 per cent, allowing users to stream high-definition video content in more places.

Marc Allera, Chief Executive Officer of BT’s Consumer business, said that with families using even more connected devices and wanting to make the most of every room in the home, strong, reliable Wi-Fi connectivity has never been more important.

"We're the first broadband provider in the world to launch a Complete Wi-Fi guarantee so customers can get online from every corner of their homes," he continued.

"Whether it's converting the attic into an online gaming room for the kids or making a spare room into a home gym where you can stream music or work out videos, our unique Complete Wi-Fi opens up a world of possibilities for our customers."

The Complete Wi-Fi service will be available for an extra £5 a month for current BT Plus customers, while existing non-BT Plus customers will need to upgrade to a BT Plus package in order to take advantage.

Consumers signing up for the offer will initially receive a next generation Smart Hub 2 router and one Wi-Fi disc to extend their wireless signal around their home. If this doesn’t give customers a strong signal in every room, BT will send them up to two more discs free of charge to extend the signal.

However, if they still don't have signal in every room even with the extra discs, BT will give users £20 back.
