You can now control your Apple TV using your iPhone. To do so, head to the App Store and download the official Apple TV Remote app.
Apple talked up the app back in the autumn, when it launched its latest version of the Apple TV streaming box. It hoped to launch it in the first half of this year, so it's a little late.
Still, better late than never. So what can it do?
It lets you control your Apple TV using touch gestures. One of the handiest features is that you can use the keyboard on your iPhone to enter text, say when searching for a show. That will be a lot quicker than using the Apple TV's on-screen keyboard.
You can also use your iPhone to play, pause, rewind or fast forward. And if you have the latest version of the Apple TV, you can use Siri through your iPhone to find you something to watch. Just speak your request and it will be done.
All in all, it makes Apple TV much more convenient to use. Especially if you're prone to losing the remote down the back of the sofa.
