Vodafone has announced it has launched its broadband and home phone service to some 22 million premises across the UK.

The provider claims its fibre-optic business-grade network will give customers broadband speeds of 76 Mbps.

To celebrate launch of the service, which had previously only been available to Vodafone's mobile customers, Vodafone is offering new subscribers free Netflix for a year.

Whether customers opt for Superfast Fibre+ Broadband (up to 76 Mbps), Superfast Fibre Broadband (up to 38 Mbps) or Broadband ADSL (up to 17 Mbps), Vodafone has pledged to reward the loyalty of existing customers by giving them £5 off the standard broadband price every month for the duration of their agreement.

The move, Vodafone claims, will make it one of the best value broadband and home phone packages in the UK.

Vodafone Red customers will also get inclusive calls anytime to UK landlines, as well as 300 free minutes to UK mobile numbers.

Every customer gets inclusive evening and weekend calls to UK landline numbers and money off Sure Signal units to boost indoor mobile coverage if necessary.

Cindy Rose, Consumer Director at Vodafone UK said: "We are delighted that we are now able to bring our innovative new home broadband service to people across the UK, allowing them to share in the great experience many of our existing customers are already enjoying.

"Our customers are loving the fact that they can control their home broadband from their smartphones and tablets.

"With the introduction of Vodafone home broadband combined with our ultrafast 4G, Vodafone is now well positioned to satisfy all of our customers' connectivity needs, both at home and on the go."

As well as its plug-and-play router, Vodafone is offering a newly updated Vodafone Connect mobile app, which it claims will help users gain greater control over the devices in their home.

The 'Boost' function allows customers to give certain pieces of hardware priority over others, while 'Beam' allows Wi-Fi signals to be focused on particular devices.

Grouped settings are available in the apps 'Family' feature, which enables users to easily manage and create time limits on devices, while ‘Guest Wi-Fi’ allows controlled access to household guests in one click.
