Virgin Media has boosted the appeal of its subscription television service by adding UKTV’s Drama channel to the line-up.
The firm says consumers can enjoy a "great choice of shows" on the channel, including 'Pride and Prejudice', 'The Cinder Path', 'New Tricks', 'Birds of a Feather' and 'Lark Rise to Candleford'.
Drama will be available on channel 190 to all Virgin TV customers, and will soon be added to the Virgin TV Anywhere service, which is based in the cloud.
This means Virgin TV viewers will be able to watch content on their laptops, tablets and other mobile devices, wherever they have sufficient broadband connectivity.
Nick Forward, Virgin Media's TV Product Director, said Drama is "packed with iconic shows that really capture the imagination of the British public".
"We’re excited to bring this great new channel into the homes of our TV customers and onto Virgin TV Anywhere," he stated.
"Whether it’s Mr Darcy emerging from the water or Jonathan Creek solving his latest mystery, there’s always an thrilling moment to catch on Drama that’s well worth tuning in for."
